Grimsby Motor Club Championship Rules

The Grimsby Motor Club Championship will take place from June 1st 2026 and finish on November 30th 2026. The championship will include all types of motorsport competition, marshalling, officials roles, voluntary positions (non MSUK signed on) scenic tours and car shows.

The championship is open to all Grimsby Motor Club members and is free to enter. Please submit via the form on this website your entry into the championship.

Event results or participation confirmation should be submitted using the form on our website.

If there are any issues with this, please contact the Championship Co-ordinator. Please make sure results are submitted within 2 weeks of your event or we will be unable to award points. The final cut off for points is midnight on November 30th 2026.

 Points are awarded based on class (or overall if there’s only a single class) to driver and co driver (if there is one) with a bonus for finishing in the top 3 overall (if separated by class). Points are awarded as follows: 1st  20 points reducing by 1pt per place down to 6pts for 15th, 5 points for all positions after 15th including DNF. If your class has less than 5 entrants, only half points (rounded up) will be awarded. If your event has multiple races or runs, only your best finish position will count. Multiple points cannot be submitted from the same event. Bonus Points are awarded for overall wins where there are multiple classes: 1st 3 points 2nd 2 points 3rd 1 point In addition to competing.

10 points will be awarded to members who marshal or hold a voluntary officials role at an event, enter a scenic tour or display their car at a car show (photographic evidence rqd) only 1 vehicle will classify for points.

All entrants in any event must display a Grimsby Motor Club sticker on their vehicle.

Your points submission, we will require the event name, date, car number and competitors names. An award will be issued to the Overall Winner at the annual Xmas dinner.
