Mike Bayliss returns to the Club
After 31 years in 'Rally retirement' Mike Bayliss recently rejoined the club to have a go at some local stage events. Mike is a past BTRDA Stage Rally champion driver so knows what he is doing and sure enough on his 1st outing at Twyford Wood on 17th April he managed 14th o/all and 2nd in class in a BMW 325i. Not bad for an old boy.
Rolling Road Session
Club member John Cudmore is offering to provide a discounted group rolling road session for members on his new Rolling Road facility at his RASP premises in Grimsby if we can get at least 12 people interested. Cost will be around £25 and you will get a printed performance report for your car.
If you are interested in taking part - contact the Competition Secretary by e-mail (see contacts page)
Bruce Robinson Rally Disaster!
Jason Cutter and George Cowling's hopes of a decent run on this local all nighter were dashed when a suspension unit 'popped' on the Metro on the first serious section of the rally at North Elkington within 6 miles of the start. The event attracted a full 40 car entry to the new Louth start venue and was won by Guy Robinson and Charlie Wheeldon in a Subaru.
